Extract Date/Time Parts
Pulls parts out of a date into new columns: year, quarter, month, week, day, weekday, hour, a weekend flag and more.
Also known as: Date part
How it works
Click Add part for each column and part you want. The parts are grouped: Date parts (Year, Month, Day, Quarter, Week of year, Day of year, Day of week, ISO weekday (Mon=1), ISO week-year, Is weekend), Time parts (Hour down to Microsecond) and Epoch (seconds). Day of week counts Sunday as 0 and Saturday as 6; ISO weekday counts Monday as 1 and Sunday as 7; Is weekend is true on Saturday and Sunday. Each part goes to a new column named <column>_<part> unless you type an output name, and the source column is kept. A null date gives null parts.

Example
You want sales by month and by weekday. Add Month and ISO weekday (Mon=1) on order_date, then group by the two new columns.
