Reverse Geocode
Finds the nearest place or street address for each point and adds place, region, country, street, city and postcode columns. Works offline at city level, at street level with an address index you build, or through an online service you opt into.
Also known as: Coordinates to address
How it works
Pick the Latitude column and Longitude column and an Engine. Place (bundled, city/town level) finds the nearest place in the bundled GeoNames list and adds geocode_place, geocode_admin1 (the region), geocode_country and geocode_distance_m. Street (OSM address index) finds the nearest address point in the Address indexes you built and adds geocode_street, geocode_housenumber, geocode_city, geocode_postcode and geocode_distance_m. Online (keyed endpoint) sends the coordinates to an endpoint you provide after you tick the consent box.
Max match distance (m), 5000 by default, caps how far away the nearest match may be: past it the place or address fields are NULL while geocode_distance_m is kept, so a point outside your data reads as missing rather than as a confident address somewhere else. Set it to 0 only when you really want the nearest match at any distance.

Settings
The Attributes panel of Reverse Geocode, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.
The same settings, as the Assistant writes them
{
latColumn: string
lonColumn: string
engine: "place"|"osm-index"|"online"
maxDistanceM: number
}"place" = bundled GeoNames; "osm-index" = user-built OSM address index (street precision). Never emit index ids or paths — the app selects the installed index itself. maxDistanceM (default 5000) is how far the nearest match may be before the address/place fields are returned as NULL — geocode_distance_m is kept either way, so a coordinate outside the data reads as missing rather than as a confident address in another country; use 0 only when an unbounded nearest match is genuinely wanted.
Example
You have sensor coordinates and want a readable location per sensor. Pick lat and lon, keep Place with the default Max match distance, and use geocode_place and geocode_admin1 as labels on a Chart.
