Slack

Posts a message to a Slack channel when the workflow runs. The message can include the first rows of the table, such as a daily KPI alert.

Also known as: Notify, alert

How it works

Pick a Slack credential saved in the vault and write the Message. Two tokens are replaced when it is sent: {{date}} and {{rows}}, the row count of the incoming table. Tick Include table preview to append the first rows of the table to the message, with Preview rows (10 by default) setting how many. The channel is part of the saved credential, which carries the webhook or bot setup, so the node needs a credential to run.

Inputs and outputs

Inputs

  • data — Table

Outputs

None — this node starts a workflow.

Settings

The Attributes panel of Slack, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.

The same settings, as the Assistant writes them
{
  credentialName: string
  messageTemplate: string
  includeTablePreview: boolean
  previewRowLimit: number
}

messageTemplate takes template tokens replaced when it sends: {{date}} and {{rows}} (the row count), e.g. "Daily pipeline complete — {{rows}} rows processed."

Example

A daily KPI alert. Wire a one-row Aggregate result into the node, Message "Daily pipeline complete — {{rows}} rows processed on {{date}}", tick Include table preview with Preview rows 1 so the KPI row itself appears under the message.
