Transpose

Swaps rows and columns, so every column becomes a row. Best for small, wide summary tables.

Also known as: Flip, swap rows and columns

How it works

The Header column is the column whose values become the new column names; blank uses the first column. Its values must be unique, otherwise the run fails rather than silently merging rows. Every other column becomes a row, with its old name in the Attribute column name column (Column by default; pick a name that is not one of the header values). Values of one type keep it; when the columns mix types the transposed cells are text. The output columns depend on the data, so the node first reads the input's column list and then runs the transpose next to the data where it can, falling back to the desktop.

Settings

The Attributes panel of Transpose, as in the app: the controls work, but nothing runs — there is no data behind it.

The same settings, as the Assistant writes them
{
  headerColumn?: string
  labelColumnName: string
}

labelColumnName = attribute column (holds original column names); optional, default "Column"; a header value equal to it becomes "<value>_1"

Example

A KPI summary has one row per metric and you want one column per metric instead. Leave Header column blank so metric supplies the names.
